RIDER AGREEMENT

Ez ride Community Cars is a charitable non-profit service supported by your contribution (which covers less than one half the true cost of rides) and voluntary local community support.  A personal transportation account is like a personal bank account.  It is debited whenever you take a Community Cars ride and it is like making a deposit into your account when you make a payment. 

At the end of each month you will receive a statement that details your rides and any other account activity such as payments, discounts, credits or gift certificates.  To open your pre-paid transportation account you need to send a check made out to CarShare, Inc. (or credit card information) for the membership fee of $15 ($25/couple) along with a starting balance of $20 or more.  A signed agreement form and a registration form must accompany this check.  You may choose the option of being billed for your rides on a monthly basis. Once your paperwork is received, you will be contacted and you may begin booking rides.

This personal account system is a tremendous help to our many dedicated volunteer drivers, whose valuable efforts help keep the cost of the service within affordable levels.  Without having to exchange cash at the time of your ride, you will find it is more like riding with a friend or family member than taking a taxi.  Our goal is to offer you independence, comfort and convenience in a well marked automobile without making cash payments.

1. You will maintain a balance sufficient to cover your monthly rides;

2. Your account will be automatically debited the $15 membership fee on the anniversary of your membership. Your account will be debited on the 15th of each month and reported to you in a monthly account statement mailed by the 5th of that month;

3. If you have an unpaid balance for longer than 30 days, your account will be suspended until sufficient funds have been deposited to achieve a positive balance;

4. If there is no activity in your account for one year and we have made three documented unsuccessful attempts to contact you, you agree that the balance of your account will be a charitable donation to EZride Community Cars;

5. You may request the balance of your account be reimbursed to you at any time.
